Boost Your Child's Mandarin: Starlight Chinese Academy for Immersive Learning

Our focus in the boys’ early education was always language but I have been shocked by the deterioration of their mandarin since starting primary school. Immersive Chinese language experiences have always been important to me because it has been the way I learnt best, and I regret not having sustained opportunities for that, both growing up and in my work life.

As a working mother with a working mother, after-school care has also been an important part of keeping the boys safe, educated and entertained. We moved them to the new Starlight Chinese academy at 10 Winsted near Newton. I like its clean, spacious, greenery-facing layout, the extension of natural language immersion into primary school age, their promise that the kids will be operating at P6 level by P4 (and no tuition;), the caring, enthusiastic native Chinese teachers and opportunities for study in China.

The boys like.. well, the food is great according to them; they love their teachers and they complain about how regular after-care lets you sit around and do nothing but now, they have to do more learning - so hopefully something’s working!

Come and join Starlight’s Jan 18th and Jan 25th Chinese New Year celebrations (Chinese storytelling, writing and games), get to know them and feel free to share with friends looking for better Chinese programs. They have attractive opening rates for nearby schools.
