CA-MT-WY-WA Campervan Road Trip Guide: Harvest Host Stays, Bear Spray Hikes & Alpaca Farm Adventures

CA-MT-WY-WA: Have van, will travel. A campervan was Iggy Goh’s idea of rolling travel and accomodation expenses into one, he also found a great resource called Harvest Host, for an $84 annual subscription, you can stay at 4000 farm, winery and attraction locations across the US. These provide safer private land overnight parking, utilities, farm tours or berry picking and often the proprietors offer farm-fresh breakfasts or dinners for an additional fee.

The day after chess camp happened to be the Seattle Airshow so they stayed in town to watch the Blue Angels and acrobatic flight displays at the beach before heading to Mount Rainer National Park, where Pezzy finally got to carry around bear spray, and they stayed overnight at an alpaca farm. The boys loved helping to herd and feed them and Wes effusively enthused, you should try the sugar snap peas at this farm, mum!
